Cappuccino Coffee

Cappuccino coffee was originally an Italian coffee drink, but today it is no longer for the pleasure of just Italians alone. Millions of people around the world are now regularly enjoying this coffee. Cappuccino coffee is prepared using hot milk and a ground of espresso. The drink is traditionally served in porcelain cups which allows for much better heat-retention as opposed to using glass or paper cups. Besides the taste aspect, the foam that forms at the top of the drink also provides heat retention capabilities and acts as an insulator to retain the heat of the drink longer.

The texture and temperature of the milk is tremendously important. When preparing a cup of cappuccino, the milk is poured into the espresso. The milk is hot and foamy and the variations and thickness of the milk result in cappuccino varieties with such names as white cappuccino and dark cappuccino.

Because the milk has to be steamed just right to make a perfect cup, cappuccino coffee preparation is difficult. An experienced maker can be artistic in the way he or she pours the milk on top of the espresso coffee, generating designs and thicknesses.

Throughout continental Europe, cappuccino coffee was traditionally consumed only at breakfast and in the early part of the day. Today, however, people are taking the drink throughout the entire day.

Many people are also making their own cappuccino at home. These coffee enthusiasts are investing in home coffee grinders, milk frothers and espresso machines so that they can try to make a perfect cup at home.
